Setup guidance

Use only in a reptile hood or clamp lamp with a ceramic socket rated for the bulb's wattage. Position the lamp so the animal cannot contact it. Select wattage by the species' target basking temperature, enclosure dimensions and ventilation—not gallon rating alone—and verify the basking surface with an independent thermometer.

This is a daytime basking lamp. Turn it off at night to preserve a normal light/dark cycle. It provides UVA but does not replace species-appropriate UVB lighting.
