Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Double G Exotics online store and any purchases made through it.
By visiting our store, browsing products, placing an order, or otherwise using the site, you agree to these Terms of Service.
1. Store purpose
The Double G Exotics online store is used primarily for reptile supplies, food products, hides, accessories, enclosures, and other approved retail products.
Live animals are not currently sold through this Shopify checkout. Animal purchases are handled separately through direct communication, MorphMarket, or another approved sales channel.
2. Product information
We make reasonable efforts to keep product descriptions, photographs, dimensions, prices, and availability accurate.
Product appearance may vary slightly from photographs because of manufacturing changes, packaging changes, lighting, screen settings, or natural variation.
Customers are responsible for reviewing product dimensions, intended use, and compatibility before ordering.
3. Pricing and availability
Prices are listed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated.
Prices, promotions, inventory, and product availability may change without notice.
Adding a product to your cart does not guarantee availability. An order is not complete until checkout and payment are successfully processed.
We reserve the right to correct pricing, inventory, description, or listing errors and to cancel or refund an affected order when necessary.
4. Orders
We reserve the right to refuse, limit, or cancel an order when reasonably necessary, including in cases involving suspected fraud, pricing errors, inventory errors, shipping restrictions, or misuse of the store.
If we cancel a paid order, the applicable amount will be refunded to the original payment method.
5. Payments
Payments made through the online store are processed through Shopify and its supported payment providers.
You agree to provide accurate billing, payment, and contact information when placing an order.
You authorize the payment provider to charge the amount shown at checkout, including applicable product charges, shipping, handling, and taxes.
6. Shipping
Shipping charges are determined using the delivery method selected at checkout or through an agreed shipping quote.
Carrier delivery estimates are estimates only and do not guarantee a specific arrival date unless the selected carrier service expressly provides such a guarantee.
Double G Exotics is not responsible for delays caused by carriers, weather, incorrect addresses, inaccessible delivery locations, or events outside our reasonable control.
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address.
Additional costs caused by an incorrect address, refused shipment, or failed delivery may be the customer’s responsibility.
7. Enclosures
Some enclosures are shipped flat-packed in manufacturer or supplier-provided packaging.
Customers should inspect packages and components before assembly.
Assembly should be completed according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Damage caused by improper assembly, modification, misuse, or handling after delivery is not considered shipping damage or a product defect.
8. Local and expo pickup
Local and expo pickup are available only when offered or agreed upon in advance.
Expo pickup is limited to confirmed events, dates, and arrangements.
Customers are responsible for collecting orders within the agreed pickup window.
Orders not collected as arranged may require rescheduling, shipping at the customer’s expense, or another agreed resolution.
9. Partner-fulfilled products
Certain products may be fulfilled and shipped directly by an approved third-party supplier.
These products may have different fulfillment times, shipping methods, return requirements, or packaging from products shipped directly by Double G Exotics.
When partner fulfillment is used, Double G Exotics remains the customer-facing point of contact unless otherwise stated.
10. Returns and refunds
Returns, refunds, cancellations, damaged-product claims, and replacement requests are governed by our Return & Refund Policy.
By placing an order, you agree to that policy.
11. Product use and animal care
Customers are responsible for determining whether a product is appropriate for their animal, enclosure, species, and husbandry setup.
General product information provided by Double G Exotics is not a substitute for appropriate husbandry research or veterinary advice.
Products must be used in accordance with manufacturer instructions and applicable safety guidance.
12. Intellectual property
The Double G Exotics name, logo, branding, original photographs, written content, graphics, and other original materials displayed on the store are owned by or licensed to Double G Exotics unless otherwise stated.
You may not reproduce, copy, distribute, sell, or commercially use our original content without permission.
Third-party product names, trademarks, and manufacturer materials remain the property of their respective owners.
13. Prohibited use
You may not use the store for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or unauthorized purposes.
You may not interfere with the operation, security, or functionality of the website or attempt to gain unauthorized access to store systems, accounts, or customer information.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Double G Exotics will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses resulting from use of the store or products purchased through it.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time.
The version posted on the store at the time of use or purchase will apply to that transaction unless otherwise required by law.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by applicable laws of the State of Texas and the United States, without limiting any mandatory consumer protections that may apply.
